Donn Stroud, a man of divergent musical taste and armed with a new world political attitude that stretches and transposes categorical pigeon-holing, was brought up in the humble town of Bad Axe, MI. With a need to expand his horizons, he set off for Ypsilanti in the mid-'90s and fell further and further into a life of squatting in an unoccupied apartment and a near abusive foray into trucker speed. While working for a large record chain, Stroud began banging on distorted guitars in impromptu noise/punk/ska combos. As he slowly began an ascent from his self-depreciating lifestyle, he exchanged his interest in convenience store substances for an interest in Derek Bailey and Albert Ayler compositions. All of which has led him, almost inexplicably, to creating ambient computer-driven pieces that tow a line between Tangerine Dream, Biosphere, and Fennesz. Stroud released 2 EP's in 2002: Guilty Tenderness and Delicate Prophecy (under the ominous moniker Delicate). Both released by the fledging home spun Ypsilanti United imprint. ~ Holden Fortune, All Music Guide
