Downcard

Poker Guide: Downcard

Any card that is dealt face down to individual players.

SoundPoker Says: In Texas Hold'em or Stud, a player's hole cards are examples of downcards. In order to remain classified as a downcard, the card must remain unexposed for every betting round. The only time a player shows their downcards is usually in a showdown, though some players show their downcards to advertise.
