Projects receiving funding from the Dr Hadwen Trust range from epilepsy, multiple sclerosis,[4] breast[5] and skin cancer, meningitis, asthma, diabetes and drug testing, to arthritis, Parkinson’s disease, lung injury, whooping cough, vaccine testing, dentistry, heart disease, tropical illness, fetal development, brain tumours and AIDS.
The Dr Hadwen Trust is internationally recognised as a leading authority on replacing animal experiments and actively promotes the concept and practice of non-animal research through its policy work, publications, science community outreach and the media. Active memberships of Eurogroup for Animals, the International Council for Animal Protection in OECD Programmes (ICAPO) and Focus on Alternatives enable the Dr Hadwen Trust to transmit its message globally and effectively.
