Biography

Swiss thrash metal band Drifter was formed in 1984 and recorded three demos before releasing a pair of albums, Reality Turns to Dust and Nowhere to Hide, in 1988 and 1989, respectively -- both of them featuring vocalist Tommy Lion, lead guitarist Peter Wolff, rhythm guitarist Ivano Marcon, bassist Sven Rosemann, and drummer Guido Kirschke. Neither one fared particularly well, however, and the band gradually faded from sight, despite recurring rumors of sporadic activity, with former members becoming involved with other metal acts like Stormhammer, Mana Prime, and Gods of Noise. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia, All Music Guide
