Biography

Brooklyn indie rock band Driver X assembled in the early 2000s from the ashes of several previous bands, most notably vocalist/guitarist Will Croxton's modestly successful Idle. In addition to Croxton, drummer Brian Patterson (previously of Lu), keyboardist Kirk Henderson (Dirtball), guitarist Phil Yanos (Dangaru), and bassist Joe Marrero comprise Driver X. The band began as a live act, touring the East Coast and performing at SXSW 2002, before releasing its debut album, Super 12, on Reel to Reel Records in 2002. ~ Jason Birchmeier, All Music Guide
