Dual Citizenship

"where two different sovereigns within their respective territorial confines may lawfully claim citizenship of the same person and he of them." 76 F. Supp. 664, 666 n. 2. For an American citizen to be deprived of United States citizenship the government must show the commission of an expatriating act as defined by statute done voluntarily and with intent to relinquish citizenship. 653 F. Supp. 1486, 1487.

Also refers to the fact that an American citizen is a citizen of the United States and of the state in which the citizen resides.
