Dublin's Country Mix 106.8

Country Mix 106.8 is a radio station operating in Dublin, Republic of Ireland. They are licenced by the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI), as a commercial FM broadcaster.

The station launched in October 2001 and was originally identified on-air as 'Dublin's Country 106.8FM' The "Mix" element was added on September 5th 2005 after a long period of negotiation with the BCI.

The company, which is headed by former East Coast FM CEO Sean Ashmore, broadcasts 24 hours a day and plays a mix of country, crossover and Irish music. The station primarily appeals to a 35+ audience. The station had a 2.4% share in the June 2007 JNLR figures, only beating out Phantom FM who were in last place.[1]

Sixteen people are employed by the station. The air line up includes Keith Shanley, Lynsey Dolan, David O'Reilly, Greg Gaughran (ex FM 104), John Power, Alan Corcoran, Stevie Bolger, Noel McCaul and David Dennehy amongst others.
