Biography

Actor Dudley Manlove is best remembered for his association with "The World's Worst Director" Ed Wood, Jr. and for appearing as Eros in Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space (1956). Manlove started his career as a child-actor in vaudeville. His other film credits include Pete Kelly's Blues (1955) and Creation of the Humanoids (1962). Later, he became a staff announcer NBC radio. Dudley Manlove (June 11, 1914 - April 17, 1996) was an actor, born in the U.S. state of California. He is best known for his roles in the movies The Creation of the Humanoids and Plan 9 from Outer Space, although he also had multiple guest-starring roles on the television series Dragnet and Alfred Hitchcock Presents.He had limited acting ability but his excellent voice gave him a career in radio, including being the voice of Lux Soap.
