Dupuy, Jacques (1591-1656) and Pierre (1582-1651). Archivists and librarians who organized meetings of scholars at the Parisian house of the président de Thou, which came to be known as the Académie Putéane. Jacques was de Thou's librarian; Pierre was a historian in his own right, and was in royal service from 1624. Their considerable collection of books and manuscripts was left to the king and incorporated into his library in 1657.
