DVD-RW2 is a format of DVD. It was approved by the DVD Forum in 2007. One of the forms it comes in is an external Dual-Layer writer which plugs into a USB 2.0 port on a computer. An example of this is manufactured by the company BTC. Sony has also used the format in one of its DVD recorders. This format is not widespread.
