Review
This EP was originally released privately in 2002 and never had any kind of distribution beyond the bandmembers' own hand-selling. Following the success of Forever Is Forgotten's full-length debut in 2003, the band's new label reissued the EP with new artwork, some live bonus tracks, and video footage of their appearance at the 2003 Furnace Fest. Forever Is Forgotten distinguishes itself with a fairly unique blend of all-out hardcore aggression leavened by frequent incursions of melodic guitar artistry: "Dying Beautiful" features not only raw-throated speed thrash but also surprisingly attractive twin-guitar lead breaks; "Tied to a Stranger's Hand" is a blitzkrieg attack of splenetic caterwaul alternating with grinding sludge metal and the occasional prog rock interlude. You get the idea. The two live tracks, "I'm Glad You're Dead" and "Choking On," are especially dark and technically impressive. Recommended. ~ Rick Anderson, All Music Guide
