Biography

Art director Earl Hedrick began in 1930 as a draftsman for Paramount. Prior to that he had been an architect. By 1933, Hedrick had become an art director and remained so through the early 1970s. In addition to working on features, Hedrick also designed sets for television shows such as Bonanza. In 1956 he and Hal Pereira were nominated for an Oscar for their work on The Proud and the Profane. ~ Sandra Brennan, All Movie Guide
