  • Genres: Country
  • Instrument: Guitar, Vocals, Vocals (Background) Representative Album: "Say It Isn't So"

Biography

Country singer, guitarist, and writer Jeff Eastwood's first regular audience was the members of his family church. Later he went from singing gospel to country, appearing in a country show his father did. When Eastwood was 12, he began to learn to play the guitar. All through high school and into college he worked on his craft, gaining training and experience by performing with a number of bands that played everything from rock & roll to country. He also sang in a barbershop quartet and a choir.

After signing with Media Records, Eastwood recorded his debut album, Say It Isn't So, in 1998. He provided guitar and vocals with guitarist Don Marshall adding some extra notes. Eastwood mixed good traditional country with some leftover rock & roll to come up with tracks like "You on My Mind," "No Good in Goodbye," and "This Time." The album made it to slot number 22 on the European country music charts. ~ Charlotte Dillon, All Music Guide

Constituency boundaries and council area

The Eastwood constituency was created at the same time as the Scottish Parliament, in 1999, with the name and boundaries of an existing Westminster constituency. In 2005, however, the name of the Westminster (House of Commons) constituency was changed to East Renfrewshire.[1]

Both constituencies cover the East Renfrewshire council area.
