"Easy" is the first single from Canadian musical group Barenaked Ladies' 2006 album, Barenaked Ladies Are Me. It was composed by Steven Page and Ed Robertson.

The song was first played for the public live at a 2005 Barenaked for the Holidays tour show on December 13. It was then released in 'Simlish' (a gibberish language used in the Sim series of video games by Maxis) in the Sims 2 "Family Fun Stuff" expansion pack.

On May 26, 2006, the album release dates were announced, along with the revelation of "Easy" as the leadoff single for late June (the announcement came from the band's German management, and was subsequently confirmed by the band's North American official websites). On June 6, the band announced a contest in which they provided the separate instrument tracks to "Easy" and asked fans to submit remixes of the songs. A 4-track split of the song (percussion and bass, guitars, keyboards, and vocals) was released for free on the band's myspace.com page, while their official website offered a complete "16-track" (11 tracks, 5 in stereo) download package for a small price, for a more thorough split of the song. This was the first release of any complete (English) studio track from Barenaked Ladies Are Me; though the final mixed track was not released.

On June 19, iTunes released a three-track single for the song "Easy", which also included "Wind It Up", and the version of "Home" from the All New Revue. This was the first release of any complete final tracks from Barenaked Ladies Are Me. On the same day, the band also released two acoustic versions of "Easy"; one that was recorded while the band was mixing the album around May 4. It was released as part of a Nettwerk compilation called Indoor Picnic Music. The other was recorded at the band's All New Revue and was released for free on Nettwerk's Werkshop store site.

On August 8, a music video was released on the U.S. iTunes Store in a package with the audio track. The video is computer animated, but features the band's heads in "cutout" form as they enact a variety of children's fairy tales. It is the band's first video ever not to feature any visual performance of the song.
