Hippomorphic name borne by two figures in Old Irish narrative. One is a minor character in Scéla Mucce meic Da Thó [The Story of Mac Da Thó's Pig]; the second is an epithet of the obscure warriors Eichde (see ECHDAE), Echbél, and Errge Echbél.
