Ecne

Ecna
[Old Irish ecna, ecne, wise, enlightened]

An early Irish personification of knowledge, enlightenment, and possibly also of poetry. His lineage implies his significance although he does not appear often in surviving literature. Ecne is usually thought to be the grandson of the great goddess Ana, his mother having been impregnated by each of Ana's three sons.
