Discographical sources mention several different violinists whose names are variations on Eddie Green as participating in recording sessions. A dynasty of sorts is even suggested through the presence of an Eddie Greene on some of Sarah Vaughan's '40s tracks for Columbia, another one who used electric violin during the '70s fusion years, and even an Edward Green III who is hopefully not the same guy who was executed for double murder by the state of Texas. ~ Eugene Chadbourne, All Music Guide
