Eileen Gray

Irish-born designer. Her International Modernist architectural work included the ‘E-1027’ House, Roquebrune, France (1926–9), the Badovici Apartment, Paris (1930–1), the Tempe à Pailla House, Castellar, France (1932–4), and a cultural centre exhibited at the Paris Exhibition of 1937 by Le Corbusier in his Pavillon des Temps Nouveaux.
