Katherine Elaine Hendrix (born December 28, 1970) is an American actress, producer, singer, dancer, and activist. She is best known for her roles in the 1998 remake of The Parent Trap, Inspector Gadget 2, and the 2004 documentary What the Bleep Do We Know!?.

Early life
Hendrix was born in Oak Ridge, Tennessee and raised in Morristown, Tennessee. When Elaine was 15, she and her mother moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she attended the Northside School of Performing Arts.
Career
Dancing and modeling
In her senior year of school, Hendrix won a model search and became a professional dancer with the Gary Harrison Dance Co. She soon split her time as a professional model and dancer for such companies as Nike, Levi's, Mattel, and Sun Microsystems, and for a number of hip-hop artists including Whodini, Keith Sweat, and MC Hammer.
In 1992, she moved to Los Angeles, CA. Shortly after moving she was hit by a car while riding her bicycle, ending her early career as a model and dancer.
Film and television
After recuperating from her accident, Hendrix was cast in the short-lived 1995 Get Smart series. She has also appeared on the television series Joan of Arcadia, Friends, EllenCharmed and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and recurring role in Married with Children in User Friendly (1995) and Lez Be Friends (1997). Films in which she appears include the remake of The Parent Trap, Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, Superstar, the movie version of Inspector Gadget—Inspector Gadget 2, and What the Bleep Do We Know!?. In 2008 Hendrix has appeared in two episodes of the now cancelled ABC Family show The Middleman as Roxy Wasserman, a succubus who works as a fashion designer.
In her The Parent Trap role as the twin girls' nemesis Meredith Blake, Hendrix actually screamed the high pitch scream that her character shrieked on the lake.
Activism and humanitarian efforts
As an activist, Hendrix is the celebrity spokesperson for In Defense of Animals, and has participated in many protests against cruelty to animals. She also regularly participates in Pets 90210 adoption events.
In her humanitarian efforts she regularly participates in What a Pair, an annual performance of female celebrity duets benefiting breast cancer research. She also records textbooks at RFB&D's Hollywood studio for their annual Record-a-thon event.
Personal life
Hendrix currently resides in Los Angeles with her boyfriend, entertainment attorney Christopher J. Corabi, and their rescued pets, dogs Tiloc and Rossmore, and cats Goodie,Cornbread and Kimbo. She is regularly involved with humanitarian efforts, animal rights, cancer research, the environment and children.[1]
