Bible Guide: Eldad

One of the two elders (along with Medad) of the Israelites who started prophesying in the wilderness together with 70 elders because the spirit of the Lord rested upon them (Num 11:26-27). Joshua the son of Nun wanted Moses to silence them (Num 11:28) but Moses answered "Oh that all the Lord's people were prophets" (Num 11:29).
