Elections in Laos gives information on election and election results in Laos.
Laos elects a legislature nationally. The National Assembly (Sapha Heng Xat) has 115 members, elected for five year terms. Laos is a single-party state. This means that only one political party, the Revolutionary People's Party of Laos is legally allowed to hold effective power. At the last elections, held on April 30, 2006, this party won 113 seats. Only two (approved) non-partisan candidates won seats.
