Charlestown is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of New South Wales. It is represented by Matthew Morris of the Australian Labor Party.

The 2004 redistribution of electoral districts estimated that the electoral district would have 47,196 electors on 29 April 2007.[1] At the 2007 election it will include part of the City of Lake Macquarie (including Charlestown, Kahibah, Whitebridge, Dudley, Gateshead, Mount Hutton, Windale, Kotara South, Cardiff, Hillsborough, Warners Bay, Eleebana and Tingira Heights) and a small part of the City of Newcastle (including Adamstown and Kotara).[2]
