Review

Electric Guitar Master features a nice cross section of guitarist Tiny Grimes' more jazz-oriented material. An astonishingly gifted musician who combined the lithe fretwork of Les Paul with the raw blues tradition of T-Bone Walker, Grimes is often overlooked in favor of more well-known artists such as Charlie Christian. Featuring such legendary artists as Coleman Hawkins and Art Tatum, this compilation includes various Grimes classics such as "Tiny's Tempo" and "Tiny's Boogie Woogie." ~ Matt Collar, All Music Guide
