Elemer (Strauss: Arabella). Tenor. One of three Counts in love with Arabella. He is probably the one of whom she is most fond, and she agrees to go for a sleighride with him - but only on condition that her ‘brother Zdenko’, comes with them. He is eventually rejected by her in favour of Mandryka. Created (1933) by Karl Albrecht-Streib.
