Who says modeling agents are a bunch of elitists? Elite Model Management does. The New York-based agency created the term "supermodel" in the 1980s and helped launch the careers of some of the world's most well-known models, including Gisele Bundchen, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, and Linda Evangelista. The company manages the careers of some 800 models globally; those who earn top dollar are in the Elite+ division. Elite Model Management boasts the Elite Model Look, an international model-scouting contest that attracts more than 300,000 participants who are looking to be discovered. Creative World Management owns the company.

Elite Model Management (Elite) is a modeling agency founded in Paris, France, in 1972 by John Casablancas and Alain Kittler.[1] Elite today manages over 800 models from five continents. It offers international coverage with 36 agencies in its network. Its contest, the Elite Model Look, is a model scouting organisation with over 350,000 contestants in more than 55 countries annually.

Elite represents, or has represented such notable models as Tyra Banks, Gisele Bundchen, Adriana Lima, Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Carol Alt, Liya Kibede, Cindy Crawford, Heidi Klum, Paulina Porizkova, Alessandra Ambrosio, Coco Rocha, Stephanie Seymour, Nadja Auermann.[2]

All the high-demand models at Elite Model Management are placed in the Elite+-division.

Elite World S.A. is the parent company of Elite Model Management.

Elite international locations

Elite's headquarters are in Paris, with a large network of international offices. Australia is the only continent without an Elite Model Management branch (besides Antarctica), the reason being that the Australian equivalent is Chic Management.[citation needed] Aside from U.S. offices in New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago, there are Elite Model Managements in the following locations:[3]
