Eloy de la Barre

 

(1764–1833)

French architect. A pupil of J.-D. Antoine and Chalgrin, he succeeded A.-T. Brongniart as architect of the Paris Bourse, and indeed completed that important Neo-Classical building. He played a significant part in architectural developments in Paris from about 1810.
