Cape Eluanbi (Chinese: 鵝鑾鼻pinyin: ÉluánbíWade-Giles: O-luan-pi; POJ: Gô-lôan-phīⁿ; loosely: Goose beak) is located on the southernmost tip of the Taiwan Central Mountain Range, also known as Ngoluanpi. Facing toward the Luzon Strait, it is also the southernmost cape of Taiwan. The name Gô-lôan (Chinese: 鵝鑾pinyin: Eluan) derives from Goran, as means "Sail" coming from Paiwan language of Paiwan people which is one of the Taiwanese aborigines. The word phīⁿ (Chinese: pinyin: bi) means "nose", referring to the shape of the "Cape".
