Kuh, Emil (Vienna, 1828-76, Merano), journalist and teacher of literature, was prominent in Viennese literary circles. He was for years (1843-59) a close friend of F. Hebbel, whose life he wrote (Hebbels Leben, 2 vols., posth. 1877). He also wrote poems (Gedichte, 1858) and stories (Drei Erzählungen, 1857).
