SchöNaich-Carolath-Schilden, Emil, Prinz von (Breslau, 1852-1908, Haseldorf, Holstein), after short service as an officer of dragoons lived on his estates. He is the author of poetry (Lieder an eine Verlorene, 1878, and Gedichte, 1903) and of Novellen, mostly of regional character, including the collections Geschichten aus Moll (1884), Der Freiherr, and Der Heiland der Tiere (both 1896). His Gesammelte Werke (7 vols.) appeared in 1907.
