A brunette supporting actress from Illinois, Emily Barrye enjoyed a brief career in second features before becoming a script girl for Cecil B. DeMille, who had cast her in both The King of Kings (1927) and as one of Lina Basquette's fellow inmates in The Godless Girl (1929).
