Emma Laura Woodward (born 9 May 1993, Whitefield, in the Metropolitan Borough of Bury, Greater Manchester) is a young British actress.
Career
Emma played the part of Sophie Webster on the popular Itv soap Coronation Street from 1997 to April 2004. She took over from Ashleigh Middleton. In 2004 Brooke Vincent took over the role of Sophie.
Personal life
Emma was born to mother Gereldine and father Shaun Woodward. She has an older brother called Jonathan. She left Coronation Street in 2004 as she wanted to concentrate on schoolwork, as she was moving to St Gabriels High School in Bury.
