EnerSys (New York Stock Exchange symbol ENS) is a manufacturer of stored energy solutions in the fields of motive power, reserve power, aerospace, and defense. It operates in over 100 countries worldwide, with over 25% market share worldwide with US $2 billion in revenue.
In 2008, EnerSys significantly broadened its product support for the fast growing renewable energy market sector with the launch of its EcoSafe battery product line. EcoSafe batteries, which use lead, nickel and lithium technologies, have been developed specifically for renewable energy storage applications, including solar power, wind power and other electricity-generation alternatives.[1]
