Enkarterri (Basque) or Encartaciones (Spanish) is a historical sub-region of Vizcaya Province in the Basque Country. Incorporated some time after the founding of the province, it had a special statute that combined Castilian and Navarrese rights. It extends on the east from the river Nervion and the Estuary of Bilbao, to the west, and south to the mountains that form the southern border with Cantabria and Castile-Leon.

Nowadays the name is most commonly used to refer to the rural part of the historical territory, while the urban area is known as the Left Bank (Margen Izquierda, Ezkerraldea) of the estuary, together with Barakaldo, that used to belong to Uribe.

Its main river is the Kadagua river that drains most of its territory.
