The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) is an international chapter-driven non-profit organization made up of entrepreneurs from around the world.

It was founded in 1987 as YEO (Young Entrepreneurs' Organization) as a way to connect entrepreneurs from around the world, then incorporated in 1989.

EO's board originally included:
Neil Balter (California Closet Company)
Julie Briace (I Can't Believe It's Yogurt!)
Verne Harnish (First Principles Group)
Kevin Harrington (Home Shopping Network Direct)
Ted Leonsis (Redgate Communications & AOL)

History

1989 - YEO officially incorporated
1990 - 1st chapters launched with help of Young Presidents' Organization
1996 - 1,000 members & World Entrepreneurs' Organization established
2003 - 5,000 members
2005 - organization rebrands as Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO)

6,600+ members worldwide (North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia)
108 Chapters in 38 Countries
US$102 Billion - Combined sales of members
800,000 - Combined employees of members
Average Member - 39 years old with sales of US$15.5 Million

Membership Requirements

Be the founder, co-founder, owner or controlling shareholder of a company
Have gross annual revenues in excess of US$1 million
Be under the age of 50 at the time of joining
