EPiServer CMS is a proprietary web content management system. It is used to manage information on an Intranet, Extranet or a public Website. With EPiServer all co-workers can create and update the organization's website from a Web browser[1] without previous knowledge about creating web pages. It can be compared with ordinary word processing. EPiServer CMS is based on Microsoft's .NET-technology. EPiServer's partners adapt the framework and create templates and add-on modules.
EPiServer CMS is developed by the Swedish company EPiServer AB in Stockholm. EPiServer is a WCM vendor with head offices in Sweden and the United States and local offices in the United Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, South Africa and Australia.
