Review

Albert Bouchard was one of the founding members of the once infamous Blue Oyster Cult. He was the drummer of the band and one of its most creative writers until the early '80s. A decade later, he put up a new band with his wife, Deborah Frost. The songs on this album are very weird and take some getting used to. After a while, most of them do grow on you -- from the familiar "Language of Love" (at least familiar for BOC fans) to the wacky "Love potion #9." The couple shares vocal duties from track to track, and plays most of the instruments, with some outside help here and there. If you're a Blue Oyster Cult fan, don't expect to hear the same kind of music. This is light years away -- although you may find some relevant references here and there (as in the aforementioned "Language of Love." ~ Alex S. Garcia, All Music Guide
