By the book technical metal from Denver, the Conspiracy Assassins offer little if anything new to the existing store of knowledge concerning contemporary death metal. The album's 11 songs sound pretty much exactly alike with the small exception of the relatively placid instrumental "Prelude To..." Furthermore, they sound more or less like seemingly dozens of other bands featuring grunty-growly vocalists, unison guitar riffing, a piledriving double-time drummer, and song titles as pointlessly evil-sounding as "Despotic Nepotist" and "Fecund Wound." Honestly, were these songs written with the help of Death Metal Mad Libs? Only the least discerning death metal fans will care about this utterly average release. ~ Stewart Mason, All Music Guide
