Erik Palmstedt
(1741–1803)
Swedish architect. He designed the Stock Exchange, Stockholm (1767–76), the Theatre, Gripsholm Castle (modelled on Palladio's Teatro Olympico, Vicenza—1781–4), the bridge over the Riddarholmskanal (1784), and the monumental German Fountain (1785), Stockholm. He was a major figure in Swedish Neo-Classicism.
