Born on October 11, 1977 in Malden, Massachusetts to Ernest A. and Debra Chiaradonna, Ernest Alan Chiaradonna Jr. excelled at an
early age in the fields of art and literature. At the age of ten he wrote and illustrated a children's book which was submitted
for consideration of the prestigious Newbury Book Award for children's literature.
Attending Savio Preparatory High School in East Boston, Massachusetts from 1991 to 1995, Ernie honed his artistic skills and writing ability, serving as Art Editor and Illustrator for the school newspaper, as well as Editor-in-Chief and contributing author for the school's quarterly literary magazine.
Having attended Bentley College in 1995 on an academic scholarship, where he planned to study business, Ernie had a change of heart and turned to the pursuit of studying art. Transferring to Salem State College in 1996, Ernie pursued an art degree, attending night classes while working full-time as a retail manager. Throughout most of his adult life, Ernie has balanced his retail career with his passion for art.
In 2003 he founded ChiaraGraphics.com through which he began doing freelance graphic design work. Shortly thereafter, Ernie founded Hideca.com expanding his services to the field of web design. His design work and art has been featured on album covers, in CD liner artwork, on billboards and advertisements, and on corporate logos. Most recently Ernie has worked with the band Harriet Street, whose song "The Perfect Ending" is featured in the trailer for the HBO series, John From Cincinnati.
In September of 2007, Ernie founded Artsworn.com as a means for struggling local artists to reach the general public by offering quality merchandise and apparel printed with original artwork straight from their sketchbooks and canvases. Artsworn also provides an opportunity for the general public to support the cause of struggling, local artists, as 100% of the net proceeds go directly to the artists whose designs have been purchased.
Ernie continues to paint, draw, and write in his free time while balancing graphic and web design projects with his retail career.
He resides with his wife, Kimberly, in Everett, Massachusetts.
