Behrisch, Ernst Wolfgang (Dresden, 1738-1809, Dresden), an eccentric friend of Goethe during the latter's residence and study at Leipzig University (1765-8). Behrisch, who was tutor to a young count, Graf Lindenau, is described by Goethe in Dichtung und Wahrheit as ‘einer der wunderlichsten Käuze, die es auf der Welt geben kann’. He later became tutor in the family of the Prince of Anhalt-Dessau.
