Architecture and Landscaping: Ersatz architecture

Indiscriminately eclectic architecture with motifs taken from many sources (not copied with exactitude, understanding, or scholarship), and verging on Kitsch, as in many examples of Post-Modernism. The term seems to be one of many inventions of Charles Jencks (c.1973).
