Review
Essential Pogues doesn't cover Red Roses for Me or Rum Sodomy and the Lash, so it isn't a definitive collection. However, it does capture the majority of the highlights from their Island albums and functions as a good introduction to the band. One complaint: the tedious extended remix of "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" was included instead of the punchy, energetic original single. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, All Music GuideTracks
