ETB 1 is the first channel from Euskal Telebista (ETB), in the Basque Country. The channel broadcasts entirely in Basque and its programming is mainly general.
The channel launched on 16 February 1983.
Its reception area is across the Autonomous Region of the Basque Country but also can be seen throughout Navarre, French Basque Country and surrounding provinces.
Its programming includes: interviews, films, documentaries, sports, youth and children's programmes. Making a strong emphasis on sports and children's programming.
A second channel from Euskal Telebista, ETB 2, broadcasts in Spanish.
