The big horseshoe-shaped "A" has been a lucky symbol for Etienne Aigner. The company's leather goods are sold in department and specialty stores across the US, through catalogs and the Internet, as well outlet stores. The company's products include handbags and accessories (key chains, gloves, wallets). Its brand name is also licensed for gloves, belts, and footwear. Founded in 1950 by Hungarian leather craftsman Etienne Aigner himself, the company was purchased by Hartstone Group from Charterhouse Group in 1991. It is not affiliated with Germany-based Etienne Aigner AG, which distributes in Europe, Africa, and Asia.
