clade Stylommatophora

The Eupulmonata is a taxonomic clade of air-breathing snails. The great majority of this group are land snails and slugs, but some are marine and some are saltmarsh snails that can tolerate salty conditions.

Note: Gastropod taxonomy has been in flux for many years. This is especially true currently because of new research in molecular phylogeny. Therefore different reliable sources can yield very different classifications.

Currently the most up-to-date taxonomy is the taxonomy of the Gastropoda (Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). In this taxonomy, Eupulmonata is an unranked clade[1].
