Plot
Two teenagers discover it's never too early to have long-term relationship issues in this light comedy from Sweden. Eva (Ellen Fjaestad) and Adam (Carl-Robert Holmer-Karell) are a pair of 14-year-old schoolmates who have been friends for quite some time, and have been dating for a few years already. A number of Eva's friends think it's funny that she already seems to have all but settled down with Adam, and some of them begin asking her repeatedly when the two of them are getting married. The jokes annoy Eva enough that she decides to break it off with Adam, but she soon comes to regret that decision when Adam begins keeping company with Petra (Rosanna Munther), a girl from her class who enjoys flirting with the boys. Eva & Adam: Fyra Fodelsedagar Och Ett Fiasko was the first big-screen installment in a series of "Eva & Adam" stories; the characters first popped up in a popular Swedish comic strip, then were adapted for a series of books for young people, and eventually became the protagonists of a popular television series. ~ Mark Deming, All Movie Guide
