A lively, charming light-hearted concert program from April of 1973, featuring the composing team of John Kander and Fred Ebb. With Kander at the piano and he and Ebb switching off on vocals, they run through a repertory that includes songs from Flora the Red Menace, Zorba, Cabaret, Liza with a 'Z', and more, plus the first public performances of "Roxie" and "All That Jazz" from a work-in-progress called Chicago. The sound is excellent, and the repertory and participants speak for themselves -- and the performance will live up to anyone's expectations. ~ Bruce Eder, All Music Guide
