Biography

Buffalo-based metalcore quintet Every Time I Die formed in the winter of 1998. Spearheaded by brothers Keith (vocals) and Jordan Buckley (guitar), the founding lineup also included guitarist Andrew Williams, bassist John McCarthy, and drummer Michael "Ratboy" Novak. During their first short tour of New York and Canada, the fledgling group befriended Goodfellow Records chief Chris Logan, who released their debut EP, The Burial Plot Bidding War, in 2000. Bassist Aaron Radaczyk replaced McCarthy prior to recording Every Time I Die's first full-length effort, Last Night in Town, issued via Ferret Records in the spring of 2001. The band supported the album on tour with Killswitch Engage, and in the summer of 2002 joined the annual Warped Tour. Another bassist swap brought on Steven Micciche, who joined Every Time I Die in time for their 2003 sophomore effort, Hot Damn!, as well as a U.S. tour in support of Jackass alum Steve-O. In early 2005 Micciche resigned from the lineup, prompting the addition of ex-Between the Buried and Me bassist Kevin Faulk, who was ousted just three months later following sessions for the band's third LP, Gutter Phenomenon. Former Nora bassist Chris Byrnes was named his replacement. Phenomenon was released that August and touring commenced. The guys spent summer 2006 on the main stage at Warped, after which Byrnes announced he too would be exiting the group. Undeterred, the guys soon brought on bassist number six, ex-The Chariot's Keller Harbin, and continued touring through November alongside Atreyu and From First to Last before beginning work on their next album. Every Time I Die also released the DVD Shit Happens in late October, and soon after, the band entered the studio with producer Steve Evetts (Dillinger Escape Plan, Saves The Day) and began work on 2007's The Big Dirty. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

Biography

Keith Buckley was a young British utility actor who came into films from the stage in the mid 1960s. He was seen in such costume dramas as King and Country (1964), Alfred the Great (1968) and Attack on the Iron Coast (1968). International exposure came to Buckley with such blockbusters as The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) and The Eagle Has Landed (1977). In 1967, the actor was a regular on the British TV anthology Stories of Arthur Conan Doyle; four years later, he played Henry Morgan Stanley (of "Stanley and Livingstone" fame) on the BBC miniseries Search for the Nile, which was networkcast in America in early 1972. Still on call in the 1980s, Keith Buckley showed up with third billing (right behind Michael Caine and Sigourney Weaver) as "Hugo Van Arkaday" in the British/American coproduction Half Moon Street (1986). ~ Hal Erickson, All Movie Guide

Career

The band was established by brothers Keith and Jordan Buckley, whose father, Michael Buckley, lectures Computer Science and Engineering at the University at Buffalo. They added to the initial lineup with guitarist Andy Williams, bassist John McCarthy, and drummer Michael "Ratboy" Novak. In their first short tour covering the Buffalo, New York and Toronto, Canada vicinities, the band met Goodfellow Records producer Chris Logan, who released the band's debut EP Burial Plot Bidding War in 2000. The following year, Aaron Ratajczak replaced McCarthy as bassist before the band released its debut full-length album Last Night In Town that year under Ferret Records, leading to a tour for that album in collaboration with Killswitch Engage the following year.[1]

In 2003, Steven Micciche replaced Ratajczak as bassist for the band's second full-length Hot Damn! and the band's subsequent American tour supporting Jackass star Steve-O. However, Micciche resigned from his position in 2005, being replaced by Kevin Faulk of Between the Buried and Me fame. However, three months after recording sessions for the band's third album Gutter Phenomenon, he was replaced by Chris Byrnes of NORA, who left the band after touring with them at the Warped Tour 2006.Their sixth bassist, Keller Harbin of The Chariot, replaced Byrnes and played with the band for its tour with Atreyu on the World Championship Tour along with From First to Last and Chiodos.[1] The band was featured on the 2007 Sounds Of The Underground tour.[4] Former Shiner guitarist and From Autumn To Ashes bassist, Josh Newton, was inducted in September 2007 as the band's seventh bassist for a tour with Underoath.

In 2006, their song "The New Black" was featured as a bonus track in Guitar Hero 2 and also in the PlayStation 3 game MotorStorm. The band performed the song "We'rewolf" live on the ABC late night talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live on Halloween of 2007.[5] From January-February 2008, Every Time I Die went on a tour with Killswitch Engage, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Parkway Drive. They also headlined the Take Action Tour, playing alongside From First to Last, August Burns Red, The Bled, and The Human Abstract. The band played the entire Warped Tour 2008.[6]

On an episode of Steven's Untitled Rock Show, the band stated that their fifth full-length album would most likely be released during the summer of 2009.

At their 4th Annual Christmas Show in Buffalo, NY, Keith announced that the band had signed to Epitaph Records, stating that, "I haven't said anything yet, but we have, in fact, signed to Epitaph."

According to Keith, they "have a propensity to screw up interviews" by joking around with the interviewer. [7]

At their February 2009 show with Underoath and Poison The Well in Auckland, New Zealand, Keith announced on stage that we can expect a new album this year.

During the 2009 UK tour with Gallows, a song titled "Buffalo 666" from the upcoming album New Junk Aesthetic was played for the first time. Also, two other tracks titled "The Marvelous Slut" and "The Sweet Life" are going to be on the new album. The upcoming album will also include guest vocals by Pete Wentz[8] of Fall Out Boy, Matt Caughthran of The Bronx and Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan. At the end of June it was announced that drummer Mike "Ratboy" Novak had left the band due to "personal conflicts"[9].

A new song, "The Marvelous Slut," was released on July 8 as a free download.[10]

On August 18, Every Time I Die released a second new song entitled "Wanderlust" on their MySpace.[11]

On September 8, new Drummer Ryan "Legs" Leger will start touring with the band. Legs is from Cornwall/Toronto Canada and is known in Canada for his former touring gigs in bands The Salads, Kiki's Wonderland Adventures, Skye Sweetnam, Dead and Divine, Gone Hollywood and the hardcore group Oh The Humanity.

The band will be part of the European Taste of Chaos Tour at the end of 2009, supporting headliners Killswitch Engage and In Flames.
