The soundtrack to Xistenz is another collaboration between director David Cronenberg and composer Howard Shore, who previously teamed on projects including The Fly, Dead Ringers and Naked Lunch; here, Shore evocatively captures the film's grim cyberpunk vision with perhaps his darkest score to date, crafting a rich, creepy backdrop perfectly evocative of Cronenberg's bleak brilliance. ~ Raymond McKinney, All Music Guide
