A wireless SD Card from Eye-Fi, Inc., Mountain View, CA www.eye.fi) that automatically transmits JPEG images via Wi-Fi from an SD Card digital camera to the user's computer whenever it is in range. A small transceiver plugs into a USB port on the computer that contains an SC Card slot for setting up the card and receiving the signals. Images may be stored in a specified folder in the user's computer, sent over the Internet to an Eye-Fi service that transfers them to a designated photo or social site, or both.
